Pre-Installation:

Consultation: A qualified technician will visit your home to assess your needs, discuss hot water usage patterns, and determine if a split heat pump system with a 200L hot water tank is the right option for your household. They'll also evaluate your existing electrical system and plumbing layout for compatibility. Quote & System Selection: Based on the consultation, you'll receive a detailed quote outlining the specific heat pump model, hot water tank specifications, installation costs, and any potential adjustments needed to your existing systems. Once you approve the quote, the chosen system and all necessary materials will be ordered. Permitting (if necessary): Depending on your location, permits might be required for electrical and/or plumbing modifications. Your chosen installer may handle the permit application process for you.

Installation Day:

Preparation: The installation team will arrive at your scheduled time and begin by protecting your furniture and flooring with drop cloths. They may need to disconnect electrical appliances and isolate the hot and cold water supply lines. Split Heat Pump Unit Installation: Outdoor Unit Placement & Securing: The outdoor unit (condenser) of the split heat pump system will be placed in a designated location, typically outdoors on a stable and level surface. The team will ensure proper clearance around the unit for airflow. Indoor Unit Placement & Connections: The indoor unit (evaporator coil) will be mounted on a chosen wall, typically high on a wall for optimal air circulation. Electrical connections and refrigerant lines will be established between the indoor and outdoor units. Drainage System Installation: A drain line will be routed from the indoor unit to an appropriate drainage point, ensuring proper condensate disposal. This might involve drilling a small hole through the wall, depending on your chosen drainage location. Hot Water Tank Installation: Placement & Securing: The 200L hot water tank will be placed in a designated location, typically indoors in a laundry room, utility closet, or basement. It will be securely mounted on a stable surface that can support its weight when full. Plumbing Connections: The hot and cold water lines from your existing plumbing system will be connected to the designated inlets and outlets on the hot water tank. The team will ensure proper shut-off valves are installed for future maintenance.

System Testing & Commissioning:

System Start-up: After installation, the technicians will test the entire system for functionality, including heating and cooling capabilities of the split heat pump, hot water production in the tank, and safety features. Temperature Checks: They'll check the hot water temperature output of the tank and adjust settings if needed to ensure it meets your requirements. Leak Checks: The team will perform pressure tests on the plumbing connections of both the heat pump and hot water tank to ensure there are no leaks. System Demonstration: The technicians will demonstrate how to operate the split heat pump system and adjust settings on the thermostat. They will also explain how to operate the hot water tank controls. Clean Up: Once the installation is complete, the team will remove all debris and leave your home clean.

Post-Installation:

Warranty & Maintenance: You'll receive a warranty on both the split heat pump system and the hot water tank, as well as the installation work. It's recommended to schedule regular maintenance for optimal performance and longevity of both systems.
